1. INTRODUCTION

This disclosure statement has been prepared in accordance with Article 10 of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (“LAW”), for the purpose of informing data subjects regarding the processing of personal data collected under the legal entity of the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Culture and Tourism (“DATA CONTROLLER”).
The DATA CONTROLLER exercises the utmost care and diligence in the processing, protection, and security of personal data. In this context, and pursuant to the LAW, the personal data of data subjects may be processed by the DATA CONTROLLER.

2. PURPOSE OF PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA

Personal data are processed within the scope and purposes specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the LAW and, without limitation, for the purposes listed below.

The DATA CONTROLLER endeavors to take all necessary legal, technical, and administrative measures at the highest level to prevent unlawful processing or access to personal data and to ensure their secure storage.

3. SHARING AND TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA

Personal data collected from employees, service recipients, suppliers, and citizens may be shared, within the framework of the conditions specified in Articles 8 and 9 of the LAW, with the DATA CONTROLLER’s suppliers, service providers, and legally authorized institutions and organizations, in line with the purposes and conditions of personal data processing.
The DATA CONTROLLER takes great care to ensure all necessary administrative and technical measures and security precautions when sharing personal data. The DATA CONTROLLER observes the duty of care and diligence regarding the transfer and sharing of your data, and values your data and its security.

4. METHOD AND LEGAL BASIS FOR COLLECTING PERSONAL DATA

The DATA CONTROLLER collects personal data through all types of audio, written, visual, and electronic means, for the purposes specified in this disclosure statement. Data are collected and processed to ensure that the services provided by the DATA CONTROLLER comply with laws and relevant regulations, and to fully fulfill the institution’s legal and contractual obligations.
The legal bases for processing are indicated in the disclosure statements prepared for each activity, available at kvkk.ktb.gov.tr.

5. RIGHTS OF DATA SUBJECTS AND PROTECTION OF THESE RIGHTS

Pursuant to Article 11 of the LAW, data subjects have the right to:

1. Learn whether their personal data are being processed,

2. Request information if their personal data have been processed,

3. Learn the purpose of processing and whether data are used appropriately,

4. Know the third parties to whom personal data are transferred, domestically or abroad,

5. Request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data,

6. Request deletion or destruction of data under the conditions set forth in Article 7 of the LAW,

7. Request notification of the actions taken under items (5) and (6) to third parties to whom data have been transferred,

8. Object to any result arising against themselves from the analysis of data exclusively through automated systems,

9. Request compensation if they suffer damage due to unlawful processing of personal data.

To exercise these rights, data subjects may apply in writing to the DATA CONTROLLER, or through other methods determined by the Personal Data Protection Board. Applications will be finalized as soon as possible and in any case within 30 days, depending on the nature of the request.
